Municipal Grant Management Application (MGMA)

A new way for municipalities to access Alberta Transportations Municipal Grants.

At 10:00am On Friday April 25, 2008, the internet-based Municipal Grant Management Application was activated.  This new application within the Transportation Information Management System (TIMS) has revolutionized the transportation grant application and reporting process for municipalities. 

Municipalities can now apply for grants and update their grant application information via the internet as their projects proceed from inception to completion.  MGMA will improve the efficiency of the grant application and reporting process for both municipal and Transportation staff by eliminating the need for repetitive paper based applications and reports by providing rapid access to up to date grant and project information.

Municipal staff requiring access to MGMA for their municipality can self register through TIMS.  Once their application is approved, MGMA is available via the internet 24 hours a day, seven days a week (other than periodic scheduled system maintenance windows). 

A CD-based self study tutorial and operating manual are available to assist municipal with familiarizing themselves with the grant application and reporting process through MGMA.
