Deerfoot Trail is the major north/south transportation route through the City of Calgary and is part of the North/South Trade Corridor. It is maintained and upgraded by Alberta Transportation.
Carmacks Maintenance Services has been contracted by Alberta Transportation for the operation and maintenance of Deerfoot Trail.

Southland Drive Interchange Improvements
The Southland Drive Interchange Improvements project is a part of the Long Term Alberta Transportation Construction Program. The project includes upgrades to the interchange capacity and also results in improvements to northbound Deerfoot Trail between Anderson Road and Heritage Drive.
CH2M HILL has been retained as the Prime Consultant for the detailed design phase of the Southland Interchange Improvements project. The proposed improvements will improve road safety and reduce congestion in the area of Anderson Road and Southland Drive.Project Updates
