Stoney Trail / Deerfoot Trail Interchange
The Stoney Trail Extension Project will connect Highway 1 (Trans-Canada Highway) to Highway 2 (Deerfoot Trail). When completed it will be a four lane divided roadway located in the northwest quadrant of the city. The project has been divided into various components with varying completion dates. The entire extension is scheduled to be complete in the fall of 2009, weather permitting.
Stantec Consulting has been engaged by Alberta Transportation for the design and construction management of this interchange which will tie Stoney Trail to Deerfoot Trail. This interchange features a free-flow design, which means no traffic signals are required.
Project Completion: Fall 2009
