Stoney Trail Main Line Construction - Beddington Trail to Deerfoot Trail
The Stoney Trail Extension Project will connect Highway 1 (Trans-Canada Highway) to Highway 2 (Deerfoot Trail). When completed it will be a four lane divided roadway located in the northwest quadrant of the city. The project has been divided into various components with varying completion dates. The entire extension is scheduled to be complete in the fall of 2009, weather permitting.
Aecom (UMA Engineering Ltd.) has been engaged by Alberta Transportation for the design and construction management of this section of the project which will extend Stoney Trail from Beddington Trail to Deerfoot Trail. As part of the construction of this section of Stoney Trail, a bridge will be built over West Nose Creek.
