Stoney Trail / Crowchild Trail Interchange

The Stoney Trail Extension Project has connected Highway 1 (Trans-Canada Highway) to Highway 2 (Deerfoot Trail) with a four lane divided roadway located in the northwest quadrant of the city.

Stantec Consulting has been engaged by Alberta Transportation for the design and construction management of the Crowchild Trail Interchange. The Crowchild Trail and the Scenic Acres Link interchanges have replaced signalized intersection on Stoney Trail at Scenic Acres Link, Tuscany Boulevard and Crowchild Trail.  These new interchanges require no traffic signals on Stoney Trail or Crowchild Trail in this area and will provide improved access and safety while reducing travel time.

The City of Calgary are extending the Northwest LRT line to the communities of Rocky Ridge, Royal Oak and Tuscany along the median of Crowchild Trail.  Additional information about the LRT can be found on their web site: Northwest LRT Extension.

Project Completion: Spring 2012
